Smith-Corona first began offering a special “musician’s model” option in 1936. This Standard was produced that same year and was among the first ones to leave the factory. The typewriter includes a special line spacer to permit the placement of musical notes on a staff, and it also has a full keyboard for typing lyrics or correspondence. There are fewer than ten of these known to still exist.
